Where: The Pearl River Saloon, Pearl River, NY
What: Stuffed Burger
Build: 8 oz. patty stuffed with American cheese, bacon and diced tomato, served with tumbleweed (fried onion strings), lettuce and tomato on toasted egg-Kaiser roll (?)
Comments: I was very pleasantly surprised with the Pearl River Saloon's stuffed burger. I was a bit apprehensive when our server told us you cannot request the temperature of the stuffed burger, but all was right in the world when we were served. As you can see, the burgers were cooked a perfect medium-rare. The cheese was oozing with a sharpness to it, neither the bacon or the diced tomato flavors were overdone and the roll was cotton fresh. I liked the fact that the roll was different, sort of an egg-Kaiser roll. Excellent. Even though the burger came from a charbroil grill instead of a flat grill, it was still very good. The char flavor was just right. A dynamite burger, in a beautiful restaurant and less than 10 minutes from work - Perfect. I'll be back. 9.7/10
