WOW!, I was not expecting this...

I found some really good roadstop food on my way from North Jersey to LBI. It's huddled next to a gas station in Allentown on Old York Road just off route I-195 South. "Off the Grill" is my new favorite stop for good comfort food served in a friendly family setting.

Check out the photo of their menu offerings, it's the type of menu that makes it difficult to make a decision on food choices (it's a love-hate thing).  I settled on the cheesesteak with fried onions and peppers and the proprietor (didn't get his name, but I will next trip) gave me a few "first timer" samples of their chips and guac along with a helping of their homemade macaroni salad. Both were excellent.

Although I was treated to these little extras, the menu sandwiches all come with a small bag of chips (your choice) and a soda, all for $12 bucks!! The Cheesesteak was lightly seasoned with a flavor I couldn't identify, but it was a fresh original taste that was delicious.

The website is nice, with a fresh look and some good food photos (which we all love to see). There are a few issues with photos not matching their description, and two of the breakfast items, the "Heart Attack" and the "Mark Anthony" which I would have loved to see but the photos were missing altogether. No biggie, just pointing it out.

Thanks for a great lunch experience OTG, I'm already scanning the menu for my visit later this week, and I promise much better food pics this time.
