What:
The (famous) Texas Weiner & a Cheeseburger w/RO
I've been told the GG has been around since 1979, and they (like many other Texas wiener joints in Jersey) are serving up deep fried Thumans hot dogs the right way.
My humble opinion based on my first visit...
In the fiercely competitive New Jersey hotdog arena, including but not limited to: Rutt's Hut, Hiram's Roadside, John & Hanges, The Hot Grill - (the list goes on...), the Goffle Grill delivers the goods and earns respect.
No idea how I ordered a Texas wiener without chopped raw onion, but I did... and like all the other errors, faults and mistakes in today's world, I'm blaming my poor ordering on Covid.
Long story short... this is a great lunch stop, my hotdogs were served piping hot with fresh condiments and fresh bread. And at $3.29 for a tasty cheeseburger cooked to my temperature request, it can't be beat. And no, the burger wasn't huge, but it was cooked to a medium temperature and with my addition of raw onion, I thought it was delicious. I'm definitely going to jump around the menu the next time I visit, I'm sure most all the sandwiches and sides are well worth a try.
